Please be aware that Rose Park Primary School is under considerable enrolment pressure and we are currently operating under a Capacity Management Plan – 29 July 2021.
We can only accept applications for enrolment from families living in the Rose Park Primary School Zone. All schools in the eastern suburbs are under constant enrolment pressure. Rose Park Primary School currently has nearly 600 students, and only limited vacancies in some year levels.
Registration of Interest for Enrolment
In order to begin the process of enrolment, we require families to complete the following form:
Registrations for students enrolling for Reception 2022 (first round of offers) are open until Friday 6 August 2021. After this date, registrations for Reception will be reviewed, and families will be notified via post of the enrolment outcome by Friday 3 September. Please note that Rose Park Primary School cannot guarantee any 2022 Reception enrolment applications before this process is complete. Applications for Reception 2022 which are received after Friday 6 August will be assessed at the time of submission.
All applications for year levels 1 to 6 will be assessed at the time of submission, and families will be contacted. Enrolment forms will only be issued once a placement has been confirmed by the principal.
Rose Park Primary School follows the Department for Education School and Preschool Enrolment Policy in all enrolment matters.
Please ensure that you provide adequate proof of residency in the school zone with your registration of interest, including the following:
• Child’s proof of identification (Birth Certificate or Passport)
• Proof of address in the school zone:
RENTAL: Current rental agreement (valid to or ‘Letter of Intent’ from your Landlord indicating continued tenancy) AND bond receipt (issued by the Consumer and Business Services)
OWNER: Contract of sale or council rates notice
• A recent gas / electricity bill
• Visa documentation (if applicable)
Submitting the above documents does not constitute an enrolment at the school; it is an application for your child to be placed on our school Enrolment Register. All applications will be assessed in accordance with the school’s Capacity Management Plan and Enrolment Policy. Zoning criteria will be strictly enforced and families not able to provide all of the necessary documentation to the satisfaction of the school may not be considered for enrolment. Families will only be contacted once an appropriate vacancy becomes available for your child. Unfortunately, the school is not in a position to guarantee when vacancies at the school will arise. Please be advised, waiting times have previously ranged anywhere from 6 months to two years.
In circumstances where children are no longer able to attend their previous school, Rose Park Primary School can assist by organising an alternate placement at a neighbouring government primary school for your child to attend. During this time, they are still able to remain on our Enrolment Register for future consideration.

These tours are an opportunity for you to gain an understanding of the school enrolment process, curriculum information and student learning at Rose Park PS. Please be advised that all students enrolled at Rose Park PS participate in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Senior students and the leadership team work together to present informative sessions.
In order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines, tours may be conducted as online meetings. All bookings must be made and confirmed via email – firstname.lastname@example.org A meeting link will be sent with confirmation email. Preference will be given to families with children due to start school by the following year.
