The purpose of the Environment and Facilities Committee is to advise the Governing Council about the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facilities and grounds, aligned with the Rose Park Primary School Strategic Plan 2022 – 2026 Our Environment pillar initiatives, and the school’s Resource Plan.

Buildings & Grounds

The committee helps ensure that buildings and grounds are kept safe, and are well-maintained.

Outdoor Learning Plans

The committee considers submissions by students, staff, and caregivers about additional equipment or facilities for the school.

The committee then makes recommendations to Governing Council about future development of Outdoor Learning Plans, and required maintenance and improvement of the grounds and facilities.

Maintenance Schedule

The committee keeps an ongoing maintenance schedule, and a plan for priorities for the ongoing development of the site.

Grant Applications

The committee actively seeks and applies for grants to improve the school environment and facilities for students, staff, and the community.

We have recently been successful in our application for a Green Adelaide grant, for our project “Bringing the Green Back to the Gurney Road Community Gardens” – see our Project Brief here for details.
