Ms Dora’s personal qualities of integrity, excellence, innovation and persistence have contributed to her strategic educational leadership over the past three years at Rose Park Primary School.

Dora models life-long learning and loves working with children, families and colleagues to find their passion and purpose in education. She is a Mercedes College old scholar and completed her Masters of Education and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Over her esteemed 40 year career span she has successfully engaged in a range of classroom, specialist teaching and leadership roles at diverse South Australian primary schools. She is accredited as an Advanced Skills Teacher, a National Assessor of Highly Accomplished and Lead teachers, and a Principal Reviewer of External School Reviews. She is invested in her own learning to become a better leader, most recently by engaging in Future Leaders, Leading Future Learning and Harvard Leadership for School Excellence Programs in order to provide opportunities for learners to flourish and to be the best version of themselves.

Together with her leadership team, staff, Governing Council, and collaborative school community, she is excited to build on Rose Park’s great reputation as a high performing school by leading the effective implementation of the Australian Curriculum, International Baccalaureate and extra-curricular programs. Her vision is to inspire learners to be confident, creative, active, global citizens and to prepare students for a rapidly changing world by developing a learning culture where learners have agency. Learners develop their agency by having a growth mindset to increase their abilities and initiative to meaningfully influence their world, particularly in the face of challenges.


Deputy Principal

Lindy Kelvin

Lindy Kelvin has been a teacher, teacher librarian and school leader in Adelaide, SA since moving from Vancouver, BC Canada in 2008 with her husband and three children.  With an initial passion and curiosity about the past, Lindy earned a Bachelor Degree in History from the University of British Columbia.  She then went on to study a Master in Primary Teaching and a Master of Education in Teacher Librarianship and Information Studies. 

Since moving to Adelaide, Lindy has primarily worked in the eastern suburbs including East Adelaide Primary School and Thorndon Park Primary School in a variety of teaching roles ranging from R – 7, specialist subject teaching in Science and Technologies and as Senior Leader and Deputy Principal where she helped drive the inquiry models of 21st Learning Design and New Pedagogies for Deep Learning.  Her greatest aspiration as an educator and school leader is to assist both students and teachers in realizing their full potential.  As an instructional leader, Lindy strives to inspire both students and teachers in their curiosity about the world and support their pursuit for answers to questions that are worth thinking about deeply.  Together, with the RPPS leadership team, Lindy looks forward to building on the strengths of the school with a focus on quality teaching and student engagement.


Senior Leader – Student Services & Wellbeing

Kim Copeland

Kim Copeland is our site’s Senior Leader, dedicated to Student Wellbeing and Support Services. With a wealth of experience in education and a passion for fostering positive learning environments, Kim brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to our school.

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Primary and Middle Educations Education and has completed a myriad of training and development courses which have comprised student inclusion, wellbeing and Positive Psychology. Kim has a genuine commitment to student welfare, and has successfully implemented programs that promote mental health, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging among our school community.

Kim’s leadership extends beyond the traditional academic realm, actively engaging with students to address their social and emotional needs. Through innovative initiatives, Kim aims to create a school environment that not only nurtures academic success but also encourages personal growth and resilience.
